FAQs

Here are some of the questions I'm asked most frequently. Hopefully the answer you're looking for will be here, but if not, please send me an email as I am always happy to answer questions.  You can also read how the different parties work here:

Q.  I have enquired about booking my party, what happens next?

I will reply to your enquiry ASAP and ask you for your location, ages of the children, how many children/adults you hope to attend and the time you would like the party to start. If I am available on the time and date you would like, I will confirm you in. I don't take a deposit, but simply ask that if you need to cancel your party, that you let me know ASAP.

FAQs for children's teens parties:

Q. I have a four year old who would like to join in, would this be possible?

A.  Yes! I have had a few four year olds attend parties and they sometimes concentrate more than the other girls! I do ask that they sit next to me so that I can help them and they will have an elasticated bracelet and necklace rather than memory wire.

Q.  Can boys join in? What could they make?

A.  Boys are very welcome! They can choose to make exactly the same as the girls, but, if they would rather not, they can make an extra elasticated bracelet and additional keyrings using a range of wooden beads, a key ring, necklace and ring.

Q.  How many children can I invite to the party?

A.  That is entirely up to you, depending on how much space you have available!  I have done parties for up to 30 children in the past. My mum has helped assist with larger parties in the past.

Q.  I am worried about having a party in my home!

A.  Do not worry! My parties are calm and the girls are too busy to run riot around your home!  In fact, at nearly every party I do, the parents say they have never heard the children be so quiet and concentrate so much!

Q.  Do I need to provide extra party bags?

A.  No, I provide a colourful eco-friendly paper bag that is big enough to hold their jewellery.

Q.  If I have an extra child turn up will they be able to join in?

A.  I always bring a few spares of everything and enough beads just in case this were to happen so don't panic!

Q. How long does a children's party last?

A. It all depends on how much the children chat! Every party is different but on average they last approximately one and a half hours.

FAQ Adult parties/workshops:

Q.  I only have a small table and not enough chairs. Is still possible for me to host a party?

A.  Not a problem, I find parties work just as well at a table as sitting on the floor, therefore not restricting the number of people who can attend.

Q.  How many adults can I invite to a party/workshop?

A.  I recommend no more than ten people attending, this allows me to give enough attend to everyone and help them learn the different skills they need to learn to make jewellery.

Q.  Do I need to provide anything in particular or tell people to bring anything particular with them?

A.  I highly recommend that anyone who needs reading glasses, then they bring them with them. Otherwise, I provide everything that you will need.

Q.  How far will you travel to do a party?

A.  I'm based near Exeter Airport and I am happy to travel up to about 30 miles.  I do charge mileage over 20 miles though, to cover my extra fuel and travelling time and will tell you how much this will be when you make your initial enquiry.
