Skills required/taught: tying knots
No tools required
Materials needed:
10cm x 0.6mm elastic thread
1 x 8/0 seed bead, colour of your choosing, this bead will be the middle of the flower
7 x 8/0 seed bead, colour of your choosing, these beads will be the petals of the flower
Enough 8/0 seed beads to fit around your finger (colour of your choosing)
Step 1:
Tie a knot in the end of the elastic. Add on enough 8/0 seed beads to fit just under half-way around your finger. Add on 3 petal 8/0 seed beads followed by the single 8/0 seed bead (middle of the flower).
Step 2:
Thread the end of the elastic back down through the first ‘petal’ bead you added. Thread on the remaining 4 petal beads and thread back up through the 3rd petal bead that was added. Pull and you should have created a flower.
Step 3 adding the crimp cover (optional):
Finish off the ring by adding the remaining 8/0 seed beads to ensure the ring fits around your finger. Tie the ends together 3-4 times using a reef knot. Secure the knot with a small amount of glue/clear nail varnish.
