One-Step Loopers are an excellent tool for creating consistent and neat loops in head pins, eye pins and wire. They are super helpful if you want to make uniform loops quickly and easily without the hassle of using round nose pliers and wire cutters.

How to use one-step loopers:

  • Add your beads to the piece of wire.
  • Open the one-step looper tool. Place the wire inside the plier, on top of the ‘ledge’, under the post and, if the wire is long enough, through the hole on the other side of the plier.
  • Close the pliers by firmly squeezing the handles. It will automatically create a neat loop at the end of the wire. The tool will also trim the excess wire, leaving you with a perfect loop. The size of the loop is determined by the circumference of the post on the loopers.

Top Tips:

Finishing the loops: If you want the loop to be closed entirely (for example, if you're making a jump ring or connecting beads), use your chain nose pliers to gently adjust the loop if necessary.

Practice makes perfect: If you’re new to using a one-step looper, practice with scrap wire until you get the hang of it. The more you use it, the better you'll be at creating even, tidy loops.

Wire gauge: One-step loopers generally work best with wire between 20-24 gauge. If the wire is too thick or too thin, it may not work properly in the tool.

Loop Size: The looper creates a standard size loop. If you want different sized loops, you will need a looper with a different size circumference post.
